Wild Oak Dressage
Boarding

Wild Oak Farm is a 13-stall facility offering superior horsecare. We take great care to assure that your horse is happy, healthy and safe here.

We live onsite at Wild Oak and provide fulltime care and management. Our beautiful 38-acre farm provides a quiet, relaxing environment. The 60' x 120' indoor ring is well-lit, with mirrors and excellent sand footing that is groomed frequently. Large and airy stalls are cleaned daily. An indoor wash stall with hot water, personal tack lockers and a heated bathroom provide comfort and convenience. We use heated water buckets in cold weather, permit stall fans in the summer, and blanketing and feeding your supplements are included at no extra charge. The farm has a 66' x 200' (20m x 60m) outdoor sand ring, extensive grass pastures and private wooded trails. Staff is available to hold your horse for the vet or farrier at a small fee.

Our feeding program is outstanding! We follow current recommendations for a high-forage diet, feeding 1-1/2%-2% of body weight in hay/grass. This makes healthier and happier horses. A low starch concentrate is fed twice daily, and is chosen individually for each horse. Daily turnout (all day as weather permits) has hay or grass available in season.  Water is always available.

Turnout groups are kept small and compatible. Individual turnout is available at additional charge. Horses with hind shoes are kept in individual turnout for the safety of other horses. We will apply your fly spray or masks/scrims at no extra charge.

All horses must have current vaccinations and Coggins as recommended by your vet. Horses are dewormed 6x/year unless they are on a daily dewormer. You can provide the dewormer or we will purchase it on your behalf.

There are no restricted hours at Wild Oak Farm-- you are welcome at any time, 24 hours/day, 7 days/week!

Ever wonder why we call it "Wild Oak" farm?

This grandfather stands in a small grove behind the indoor, surrounded by aspens and sycamores. At one time, though, he stood alone in the field. It's estimated this tree is at least 200 years old.
